Case Worker - Gold Coast Recovery Services

The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. Each of our services across Australia offer a unique program for people experiencing alcohol or drug problems. Residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services are just some of the options available.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Case Worker to provide effective service delivery including case management, assessment, referral, education (including group work) and support in accordance with TSA guidelines, ensuring a comprehensive participant led recovery based service is provided. Key responsibilities include:

- Provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery orientated and person led service environment.
- Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high quality services
- Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.
- Fixed Term Contract to December 2021
- Extension dependent upon Government Funding
- This position is currently located at Mount Tamborine Qld.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline
- Current Driver’s licence
- Knowledge of AOD/Gambling, Community Services and Health Sectors.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling and mental health conditions.
- High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to network, consult and negotiate with a range of internal and external participants and services.
- Highly effective planning, organisational, problem solving and evaluation skills
- Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet participants’ needs.
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people,
- people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Intersex
- people with a culturally or linguistically diverse background
