Our market access team at Alexion is a high performing, engaged and collaborative group of people who are genuinely motivated by the impact that our products make to patients affected by rare diseases.About AlexionAlexion is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on serving patients and families affected by rare diseases and devastating conditions through the discovery, development and commercialisation of lifechanging medicines.We currently have a permanent opportunity available for a Market Access Manager to join our team based out of SydneyWhat youll doAs the Market Access Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the Market Access Lead and Senior Managers to deliver the market access strategy for Alexion in Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you will have an understanding of the implications our portfolio will have on the wider healthcare environment and the impact the changing healthcare environment will have on our portfolio.This role will report into the Director of Market Access, the Key responsibilities include: Identifing the optimal pricing, reimbursement and commercial model for the product portfolio in the context of the wider health economy and reimbursement system at a national payer level.Analyising, developing and implementing recommendations and strategies regarding policy and pricing/reimbursement issues impacting Alexions portfolio.Project management and write up of identified PBAC/LSDP submission sections (including economic/budget impact models) for assigned brand(s). Assisting to deliver the market access component of the Australian and NZ Operational Plans.Working closely with the commercial teams to represent and champion the pricing and market access priorities.Identifing processrelated and price negotiation hurdles to product launch and uptake.

Proposing and implementing plans to address / overcome these barriers.Collaborating with aligned functions (regulatory, legal, compliance, patient advocacy, commercial, and medical) in Country to maximize business performance and coordination of plans & activities.Working closely with IMPACT+ (International Marketing, Policy, Access and Commercial Excellence Team) network to share and leverage insights and expertise.Collaborating with IMPACT+ to ensure alignment of local and International market access priorities and to ensure that value tools are customized. appropriately when relevant for the local Country (e.g. GVD, Economic Models)Ensuring the needs of the National payers are fully considered in the development of the IMPACT+ Strategy and evidence gaps relevant for Australia and New Zealand are elevated in International plans.Monitoring Health Care Reforms & measures impacting Orphan drugs in terms of Market Access & Pricing.Collaborating with Commercial teams to develop and iterate value propositions for each brand that are relevant, impactful and tailored to the variety of decision makers in the healthcare environment. Essential for the role: Previous experience in Market Access in AustraliaDirect hands on experience in National Dossier submission writing and pricing negotiation (where appropriate/applicable)Deep Understanding of the Healthcare System in Australia including, stakeholders, processes and funding flowsStrong background in specialty care.
