Reporting to the Market Access Director and working closely with the Corporate Affairs Director and leadership teams, this is an opportunity to join a Market Access team committed to making a difference to the lives of patients. There are countless new indications and targets in our game-changing pipeline, presenting significant immediate and ongoing opportunities for those who join the team. **What you’ll do**
- Maintain a high level of understanding of Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) access and reimbursement policy, any requirement for reform, and anticipate shifting stakeholder needs and capabilities.
- Lead AstraZeneca’s response to government access and reimbursement policy consultation and related engagement, advocating for AZ’s position.
- Lead Industry collaboration, through Medicines Australia, to develop a favourable access and reimbursement environment in Australia that enables timely access for patients at sustainable prices.
- Build partnerships with public health and policy research institutions and support the development and publication of research that advances the access and reimbursement environment.
- Advance future external multi-stakeholder partnership opportunities to unlock access barriers for ANZ key products and portfolio.
- Where opportunity presents, represent ANZ on international or regional trade associations, and engage key external stakeholders (e.g., academics, policy-makers manufacturers) on AZ prioritised access and reimbursement policy topics
- Develop local access and reimbursement policy positions and strategy as part of AZ’s overall policy strategy and in collaboration with Corporate Affairs, considering AstraZeneca’s pipeline, ANZ business priorities, as well as external policy landscape critical to current and future business.
- Lead value, medicines access and medicines industry policy messaging development for SMT and external communications.
- Communicate access and reimbursement policy environmental updates, implications, and ANZ position/ guidance to internal global, regional, and local stakeholders.
- Liaise as local key contact with Global and Regional colleagues on timely policy alignment and support, including implementation of existing key policy positions and principles.
- Advance prioritised disease level access policy and global understanding of external environment critical for ANZ portfolio for endorsement.
- Assess local Innovative Value Strategies readiness, incorporating real-world evidence/data and internal evidence capability requirements for potential external pilots/ partnerships implementation.
