This role will focus on standardisation and best practice governance for reports and analytical tools for the Bupa Data Program, in alignment with the broader Bupa data community. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in guiding a team of Power BI data visualisation specialists to continuously improve how we manage, report on, and use data to drive performance. Promote self-service reporting, contributing towards setting the standard for data literacy across the digital team so that business end users can create accessible self-service dashboards and actionable insights that are fact-based, intuitive and re-usable. This is a hands-on role, where an experienced BI professional will be able deliver results in an ever changing and complex environment. You will thrive in this role if you have strong attention to detail with data and have robust experience in visualising data to tell a story. **How can you help?** - Take a leading role in defining visualisation standards and principles for the Bupa Data Program, providing leadership in best practice dashboard and report design. - Govern the creation of dashboards and data pipelines for prioritised core KPIs across Operations, Marketing and supporting functions. - Contribute to designing a roadmap for Power BI literacy across key user groups. - Support the creation of a "Power BI Developer Chapter" connecting all Data Program team members that work in Power BI. The chapter should set standards and frameworks, but should also act as a platform of exchange. - Provide mentorship and guidance to the Power BI Developer Chapter to support general skills uplift. - Engage with key business stakeholders during the feature discovery process to unlock the potential of Power BI reporting and analytics. - Support the use of data-engineering best practices to deliver ‘data-products’ that are reliable and scalable. - Support innovation, customer centricity and change throughout the business to increase Bupa’s capacity and capability to accelerate change for competitive advantage - Support modern agile ways of working by demonstrating the principles of being disciplined, adaptable, collaborative, learning-focused and being a good human. **What do you need?** - Strong written and verbal communication skills, and confident to proactively provide insights and recommended actions for digital optimisation. In other words, you’re a great ‘story teller’. - Able to establish strong work relationships with people at all levels as a trusted advisor and consultant, with an ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the organisational structure. - 6+ years demonstrated experience working as a data visualisation specialist. - 3+ years developing reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI (including Power-Query and advanced use of DAX) - Strong hands-on experience using SQL or Python to extract and manipulate data for reporting and insights. - Demonstrated experience establishing Visual Design principles, standards and toolkits for data visualisation in PBI. - Demonstrated experience with establishing standards and processes around the full development lifecycle of Power BI reports - Deep experience in a similar role with exposure to Digital Analytics tools and frameworks. - Experience in strategy or consulting would be advantageous - A curious mindset, staying up-to-date with developments in technology and tooling to identify opportunities to evolve every aspect of the craft of Data Visualisation and BI development. **What’s in it for you?** As well as a competitive salary, a range of Bupa benefits and flexible working/ work from home arrangements, you’ll be challenged and encouraged to innovate.
