Medical Receptionist

Med-Psych Australia is a team of psychologists who are accredited to provide services under various organizations such as Medicare, PMHC/ATAPS, WorkCover NSW, Comcare, MAA/CTP, and most private health insurers. All our psychologists are Members of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA). We offer flexible delivery options in rooms, online, or on-site.
**Role Description**
As a Medical Receptionist at Med-Psych Australia, you will be responsible for managing front desk operations and providing administrative support to the doctors. Your main function will involve scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, managing patient records, and processing payments. The role is located in Newcastle, NSW but some work from home is acceptable.
**Qualifications**
- Experience in a receptionist or administrative support role in a medical setting
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and prioritize tasks
- Familiarity with medical terminology and billing practices is a plus
