**The Role**

As part of our growing HR team, and with a newly appointed Injury Management Partner as a direct report, we are currently seeking a permanent full time WHS Manager. The purpose of this role is to:

- manage the company health and safety systems and programs to ensure all workplaces are as safe and healthy (as far as reasonably practicable)
- work with senior leaders, managers, and the Group HR Manager, to lead the implementation of a safety culture, in which safety “is a part of everything we do”
- support new projects, services or programs and work as part of the leadership team on such initiatives to ensure that safety is at the forefront of any planning and implementation

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- WHS Strategy & Culture
- drive the development and enhancement of risk management practices in line with the WHS and People strategy; collaborate with the Group HR Manager to integrate the WHS and People strategy in order to deliver on business goals and objectives; deliver health and safety objectives and initiatives under the guidance of the Safety Leadership Group; analyse safety KPIs and complete safety reporting; provide guidance and leadership to the Injury Management Partner and work with them to promote a culture of safety awareness, and injury and incident prevention
- WHS Audit and Risk Management
- maintain and deliver the WHS audit and risk framework to effectively identify, manage and report on WHS audits and risks; ensure that identified risks are addressed in a timely manner and that needed preventative actions are taken; provide WHS specialist advice, guidance, and support at national and local management forums
- Stakeholder Engagement
- develop strong, collaborative working relationships with the HR team and business leaders
- Provide guidance and leadership to the Injury Management Partner

**About You**
- 5 years demonstrated experience in WHS roles with a focus on building a strong safety culture
- Relevant retail or supply chain experience
- Cert IV in WHS or equivalent is required.
- A degree qualification in WHS, Human Resources or a related field is desirable.
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Proof of eligibility to work in Australia
