**About the role**

CMP have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, adaptable and passionate HR professional to join their management team as People and Culture (P&C) Manager.

In this role you will be responsible for managing the people, culture and employee development initiatives across a workforce of 80+ employees at a strategic and operational level helping CMP be a place where the best people in the industry want to work and are supported to stay and be their best.

What’s exciting about this role is that you will have the ability to shape CMP’s People and Culture function making a significant impact on the success of the organisation by creating a culture of high performance, overseeing talent acquisition, staff engagement and retention, while also ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.

**Duties and responsiblities**
- Formulate & drive the people strategy;
- Manage cyclical activities including: career development pathways, annual performance development processes, employee value proposition (EVP), engagement, work, health and safety (WHS) and compliance;
- Act as a champion and agent for change, ensuring all business changes are well considered, carefully planned and effectively implemented;
- Consult, coach, advise, influence and respectfully challenge business leaders, in line with CMP’s culture and values;
- Establish key P&C reporting functionality, leveraging data and insights to understand workforce trends pertaining to attraction, engagement, and retention.

**Skills and experience**
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline preferred;
- Proven experience working in a greenfield generalist P&C capacity where you’ve built and managed the day-to-day operations of a contemporary P&C function in a standalone capacity;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of contemporary P&C practices, legislation and industrial instruments (Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements);
- Familiarity with HRIS systems, employee engagement platforms and other HR technology tools;
- Experience working in a consultancy business desirable.
