- ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an outstanding Payroll Specialist to support payrolling our team across Australia and New Zealand. This role will effectively partner with a range of key stakeholders both internally and externally and be responsible for executing the monthly payroll ensuring accuracy and efficiency. In addition, relevant reporting and end of month activities will be managed in partnership with the Boston Scientific Finance team.
This role is a hybrid role with a combination of office-based location and work from home. The Boston Scientific ANZ office is based in Mascot, New South Wales reporting into the Human Resource Business Partner.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Maintaining, processing and checking monthly and ad hoc payroll/s for Australia & New Zealand employees
- Managing third party provider relationship ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA’s) are met and resolving all queries in a timely manner
- Ensuring our payroll systems, processes and procedures support business needs and enable positive outcomes
- Responding to all employee queries within a timely manner and providing education and support on payroll systems
- Payroll reporting and analytics, including leave reporting and calculations, payroll tax, superannuation and worker’s compensation
- Partnering with Finance to ensure reporting and transition of information as required
- Ability to provide relevant information in accordance with legislation when required
- Managing superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax and all vendor payments
- Implementation and tracking of payroll controls and compliance
- Payroll contact for internal and external audits as required
- Developing and continuously improving payroll processes and procedures
- Maintaining payroll files in a secure area
- Month-end and year-end duties as required
- Other HR and payroll projects as required
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing end to end payroll for 300+ employees
- Experience with iChris 21 desirable
- Proven experience partnering with third party payroll providers in Australia & New Zealand is desirable
- Understanding and keeping up to date of payroll legislation and market changes across Australia and New Zealand
- Superior attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated customer focused approach to managing all queries
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
- Ability to work well within a fast-paced organization often under tight deadlines
