We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Data Lead to join our People and Shared Services team. This is a permanent full-time position based at our Macquarie Park office. As the Data Lead, you will play a crucial role in uplifting team capabilities, improving data governance, and ensuring strategic decision-making is supported by high-quality data insights.
The People & Shared Services Data Lead will focus on enhancing team capabilities, improving data governance, and ensuring strategic decision-making is supported by high-quality data insights. You will partner across the business with our strategic business units as well as staff from Finance, Digital & Technology, and People & Shared Services to ensure the integrity of our data while helping the business develop insights that drive continuous improvement.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Lead and mentor the People & Shared Services data team to enhance their capabilities.- Collaborate with teams across People & Shared Services on the design of performance metrics and KPIs.- Oversee the development and maintenance of data visualisation, dashboards, and reports.- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.- Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to align data management practices with organizational goals.- Provide strategic data-driven recommendations to senior management and business leaders.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data management and analytics processes.- Ensure the team supports HR projects with advanced statistical analysis and predictive modelling.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, IT, data science, or a related field.- 5 years'+ experience in data management with 2 years + in leadership.- Experience with HR systems (Workday) and business intelligence and data tools (Power BI, Databricks) are preferred.- Data governance or Lean Six Sigma certifications are highly regarded.- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as PowerBI and Databricks.- Knowledge of SQL and other data management tools.- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.- Ability to manage pieces of work and prioritize tasks effectively.- Advanced knowledge of People and Shared Services metrics.- Experience in implementing and managing data governance frameworks.
