**About the Role**

Reporting to the Head of Communications, ANZ, the Communications Manager supports the local pharmaceuticals business through industry-leading external and internal communication and engagement. You will play a critical role in providing strategic communications advice, optimising key product and pipeline milestones and driving corporate reputation. Please note this is a 2-year fixed-term contract.

Your role will be varied and will include:

- Provide advice and support to senior business leaders from across the organisation.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive and measurable external communications plans to support key business objectives.
- Develop and maintain high quality, mutually beneficial relationships with patient advocacy groups in key portfolio areas.
- Support the delivery of key internal communications activities to maximise engagement and impact.
- Support the management of communications associated with issues/crises that emerge for the business in key portfolio areas.
- Maintain close collaboration with local government affairs and policy colleagues, maximising opportunities for engagement and impact.
- Ensure complete alignment between the delivery of projects locally and the requirements of the global Communications & Government Affairs (CGA) function and the GSK brand, including complete adherence to all relevant global and local policies and operating procedures.

**About you?**

The role requires a communications generalist with experience in a range of disciplines. You have a track record of delivering internal and external communication plans that respond to diverse business priorities. You will have the ability to operate in a challenging media and stakeholder environment with proven ability to communicate confidently on complex issues.

You’ll also have:

- Extensive experience in a Media/Communications/Stakeholder engagement role.
- Strategic, analytical and proactive, with a goal-oriented focus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in communications planning and delivery with demonstrable results.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceuticals sector and/or the Australian healthcare environment would be highly advantageous.
- Track record of delivery in a complex organisation.
- Behavioural flexibility, cultural understanding and the ability to work effectively with colleagues around the country and around the world.
