**ABOUT THE ROLE**

With the flexibility to work from the Collins St. office or Melbourne DC 3 days per week (and at home the other 2 days). This role reports to the Chief Services Officer (CSO) and will position you as a vital channel between the logistics team across DCs in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, as well as smaller warehouses across Australia and New Zealand.

This role requires a highly capable individual who naturally takes on responsibility and accountability for all Logistics functions from commercial term negotiation, delivery optimization, warehouse space management, process optimization, long-term strategy development, through to customs and safety compliance.

- _**YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:

- Develop strategic plans and policies for the organisation as they relate to the logistics function, including but not limited to enhancing current Warehousing environments as well as setting up new Warehouses;
- Monitor and report on warehouse system and process effectiveness, ensuring a mindset of continuous improvement is adopted within the DC environments;
- Negotiate and maintain competitive transport costs with transport companies;
- Liaise with other departments and service providers for matters concerning outward/ inward goods;
- Manage the procurement of non-stock items with a focus on cost reduction and regularly review to ensure quality and cost control is maintained;
- Manage warehouse capacity forecasting;
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost optimization, presenting proposal for change to Senior Management with view to implement improvements;
- Support management in all business initiatives, from expansion plans to ad-hoc commercial operations.
- Develop an understanding of the current processes and WMS in order to act as a Centre of Expertise for warehousing functions;
- Ensure ongoing compliance with OHS, Customs and internal certification guidelines;
- Collaborate with the Sales teams to help achieve sales and profit targets, championing a customer-centric culture.

**YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL BE**:

- Sales, GP, OTB planning and forecasting created and managed
- Cost reduction achieved based on business goals
- Warehouse turnaround time achieved based on business goals
- Developing and implementing business processes as needed

**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**

To be successful you will ideally have:

- At least 5+ years Logistics Management
- Retail Industry experience highly regarded
- Proven success in achieving beneficial commercial terms
- Strong Project Management abilities
- Natural affinity picking up and training others on new systems
- Exceptional communication skills
