**About the role**

We are looking for passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team in Wembley. This role is based within a supported independent living home, where you will provide ongoing, person-centred support to residents living with psychosocial and physical disabilities.

You will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive, and empowering home environment where individuals can build independence, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals. Every day, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people you support.

As part of your role, you will assist with:

- Personal care, including showering, self-care, toileting, and use of continence pads
- Supporting mobility and transfers
- Accessing the community - shopping, activities, and appointments
- Domestic assistance, such as cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, tidying, reorganising, laundry, and linen changes
- Delicious meal preparation
- Encouraging development of independent living skills
- Providing social and emotional support to empower choice and autonomy
- Providing support and transport for the client to access and participate as a valued member of their community.

This role follows a fixed work pattern, and you will be required to commit to one of the listed rosters. When applying, please indicate which roster you are available for:
Roster 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 7am-1pm

Roster 2: Tuesday 12pm-7pm, Thursday and Friday 6pm-8am (sleepover)

In addition, you will have:

- Ability to commit to a fixed roster
- A Certificate III in Aged, Community, or Disability Care is highly desired
- Demonstrated experience working within the disability sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A current Driver’s License
- A roadworthy vehicle registered in WA and covered by Third-Party insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A current First Aid Certificate (must be valid for at least 6 months)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
