**About the role**
Activ’s behaviour support and allied health practitioners are a team of skilled multidisciplinary professionals offering innovative, person-centred, value-based quality therapeutic services to our customers. The team operates within a hybrid model of working from home and across the WA community, working within the practice model defined in the NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
**A typical day in the role may look like **
- Develop and maintain behaviour support plans that utilise positive behaviour support strategies, based on the functional behavioural assessment.
- Observe customers in various settings for the purpose of gathering relevant information to evidence reports, plans and funding submissions.
- Undertake risk assessments to identify immediate risks, including the use of restrictive practices.
- Conduct training for effective implementation of safety plans or behaviour support plans for the customer, their family, staff and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor the implementation of safety plans and behaviour support plans and review as required.
- Assisting the business adhere to The Code of Conduct under the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, particularly behaviour support and restrictive practices.
- Demonstrated experience supporting customers to meet desired outcomes in accordance with their defined goals.
- Basic understanding of behaviour support concepts, including behaviour support practice principles and values.
- Basic knowledge of NDIS Quality and Safeguarding principles including behaviour support, restrictive practices, and incident management.
- Report writing skills with experience in analysing and evaluating data.
- Registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with NDIS or eligibility for registration.
- National Police Clearance and NDIS worker screening check.
