**Position Overview**
The Quality Manger will be responsible for the management of the Quality department to continuously drive quality levels of all Franna products to exceed customer expectations.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the management of new and existing supplier relationships, which includes: non-conformances, quality of product and/or services, implementation of new parts.
- Facilitate Campaign Bulletins and Recall processes.
- Hold quality meetings with suppliers ensure accountability for key KPI’s.
- Assist in the onboarding of new suppliers both nationally and globally.
- Liaise with all areas of the business and support sourcing of new components in line with our continual improvement culture.
- Participate in project teams and TIP events when required to identify process waste and work to eliminate these in areas of safety, quality and productivity.
- Participate in workshops and toolbox meetings as required including participation in “On the Job” training and where required assist in training other team members.
- Improve Quality levels in our Franna product and continuously improve/maintain Quality System in compliance with required standards.
- Create and maintain Final Inspection Processes for production of cranes and facilitate inspections and test activities.
- Develop TM performance through training, performance appraisals, etc. and provide support, training, equipment and directions for QA team members.
- Lead and follow-up root cause investigation and countermeasure activity. Participate and represent QA in supplier audit/approval process.
- Manage IS09001 Quality certification requirements including 3rd Party Audits.
**Experience and Qualifications**
- Trade or Engineering qualifications and/or previous experience in a similar role.
- Mechanical design knowledge of mobile equipment, cranes, Australian and International Standards, hydraulics systems, electrical control systems, pneumatic systems and power transmission components.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Design principles.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience in dealing with international sourcing is highly regarded.
- 5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing operations is essential.
- Encourage teamwork and common goals within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Good numeracy and accounting skills.
- Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity.
- Ability to travel internationally if required.
