**What you will be doing**
Ward Clerks in the Frankston Public Surgical Centre are integral members of the team responsible for a range of duties that contribute to the provision of an efficient environment for patients, visitors, and staff. As a member of the clerical team all staff are expected to become multi-skilled and capable of working in all clerical areas of the Surgical Centre. These duties and responsibilities include main reception, pre admissions, admissions and discharges, ward, operating theatre reception and day of surgery.
The Ward Clerk reports directly to the Administration Manager Frankston Public Surgical Centre and works closely with the Nurse Unit Manager in the relevant area. The Ward Clerk is responsible for presenting a professional, welcoming and informative reception to patients and visitors within the Unit. Additionally they provide efficient and effective general clerical support for the Unit staff respecting confidentiality at all times.

- Demonstrated competency in medical terminology.
- Ability to set personal standards of excellence and measures and delivers outcomes in a timely manner.
