**Your new role awaits**:
As a Coates Purchasing Officer at our **Moorebank Branch** you will be supporting the Capex Buying team acquire over $200 million in equipment each year, adding to Australia’s largest and most sophisticated fleet. This position drives the entire purchasing process, from raising a purchase order through to the safe and timely delivery of our product at locations all over the country.

You’ll also be assisting with improving supplier price solutions and be responsible for managing the pre-delivery process and requirements to make sure machines are safe and hire ready. This position works closely with the Coates Hire suppliers to manage time-sensitive delivery dates and ensure goods delivered to Coates locations meet our stringent specifications.
- Work closely with your team to understand stakeholder needs
- Establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with suppliers to ensure correct pricing and security of supply
- Using Coates’ Purchasing System and be guided by internal purchasing procedures and policies
- Ensuring accurate records and documentation are maintained to ensure timely delivery requirements are met for all new equipment
- Optimise pre-delivery processes and supplier arrangement for all incoming Capex goods.
- Raise and seek approval for Capex goods Purchase Orders.
- Provide reporting on Capex delivery times (ETAs), pre-delivery and meet monthly reporting timetables and quality expectations
- Maintain Preferred and Approved supplier listings and database.
- Proactive liaison with the Accounts Payable team to expediate any outstanding purchase order payments
- Promote a Safety First, Zero Harm culture - champion safety with your colleagues and customers.
