**Summary**:
Develop and implement national strategic plan to successfully launch a sales force into the Australia market. Hire, manage and develop Territory Managers and sales personnel to represent Dexcom, Inc. products to Healthcare Professionals in assigned sales territories and deliver their sales numbers.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deliver national sales goals.
- Recruit, hire and train and develop Territory Managers and field sales personnel to achieve territory sales goals.
- Work with marketing, finance, sales operations, strategic channels, and other departments within Dexcom to develop strategic plans for product launches, line extensions, competitive threats, expansion plans, etc.
- Work with external partners to grow Dexcom business.
- Work in the field with Territory Sales Managers to develop skills, product knowledge and territory plans in order to achieve sales objectives. Identify top performers for continued development and low performers for performance improvement actions - up to and including termination.
- Meet and nurture relationships with key Healthcare Professionals.
- Manage expenses and administrative requirements as specified by management.
- Provide timely information and data regarding sales performance to management; construct region forecasts as requested.
- Responsible and accountable for achieving sales objectives.
- Responsible for ensuring department is committed to and conforms to the company quality systems procedures as documented.
- Local and overnight travel (up to 75%).
- Responsibility for direct sales within QLD

**Required Qualifications**:
A minimum of 7 years sales experience in the diabetes market with medical device experience preferred; must have a minimum 5 years management experience.

**Functional Description**:
Manages sales of the company's medical devices. Sales may be focused in a specified geographic area, specific industry or product segment on a national or geographic basis. Incumbents at the Director and Senior Director level typically manage other sales managers. Incumbents at the Manager level may manage only individual contributor sales account managers.

**Functional/Business Knowledge**:

- Strong knowledge of technical and functional principles and ability to teach others.
- Understands company mission and strategies.

**Scope**:

- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.
- Provides direction to others according to established policies and management guidance.
- Administers company policies that directly affect team members / supporting employees.
- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Networks with senior internal and external colleagues in own area of expertise.

**Judgement**:

- Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors.
- Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules / work products.

**Management**:

- Provides direct supervision to individual contributors and/or support individual contributors/matrix reports.
- Acts as advisor to unit or sub/units and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems.
- People management responsibilities include hiring / terminations, performance reviews, career development coaching and compensation decisions.

**Field Sales**:

- Responsible for managing the sale of the organization's products and services on a small geographic or account basis.
- Typically manages entry level or trainee employees.

**Experience and Education**:

- Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 5-8 years of industry experience.
- Informal management/ team lead experience.
