Our Federal Government client is seeking a
**Finance Officer** to undertake a range of financial administration duties.

These duties include: Accounting, budget management, governance and policy, project management and financial systems.

**The role's duties consist of but is not limited to**:

- Assist in the mentoring and training of new staff to build knowledge and capability
- Exercise appropriate delegations in accordance with legislation and guidelines
- Maintain up to date knowledge of agency related legislation, policy and processes and transfer knowledge to other team members through quality analysis and reporting
- Undertake financial administration across the division’s cost centres and projects, including budgets, monitoring, forecasting and accruals
- Undertake weekly, end of month and end of financial year SAP FI system rollover activities and provide assistance to users of SAP FI as required.

**Ideally, you will have the ability to**:

- Adapt to a changing environment and assist others to adjust
- Build rapport and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Collaborate with other staff in immediate area and in other areas of the agency
- Communicate confidently and present messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner
- Prioritise competing tasks and work collaboratively to see projects through to completion
- Legislation, policies, procedures and information management requirements relevant to the work area
- The Australian Accounting Standards
- The Enterprise Agreement and conditions of employment
- The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA)
