**Finance Officers (APS5 and APS6)**

**About the role**

An initial 6-month labour-hire or 18-month non-ongoing APS contract is on offer.

**Duties**
- Prepare high-quality financial strategy, reporting and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of the Annual Financial Statements and Portfolio Budget Statements, audits, and internal budgets
- Contribute to the efficient and effective administration of finance functions, including month end journals, accounts processing (payable and receivable), tax and asset management
- Undertake monthly and annual roll overs of TechOne and CBMS
- Manage and assist with procurement activities, including completion of compliance returns and reports with respect to office/property as required.

**Skills and experience**
- Thorough knowledge of accounting practices, principles and standards and the Commonwealth financial management framework.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial management systems, in particular Technology One and SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ability to build and maintain constructive working relationships.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and systems such as Austender, Commonwealth Procurement Framework and the PGPA Act.
- Must hold an Accounting/Finance degree and be a Certified Practicing Accountant or Chartered Account (or working towards that status).
