**The Opportunity**:As the Manager of the Supply Chain team on a large remote mine site, based in ASIA. You will be required to sustain mining operations at all times working within prescribed policies, frameworks and budgetary constraints.

Responsible for all site sourcing categories and contract management across the group for both direct and indirect materials and services, including capital equipment for operations.
Provide commercial leadership to operations and provide hands-on leadership for negotiations and developing strategic partnerships that drive value for the site.

**Key Focus**:

- Effectively lead and manage the supply chain functions on site
- Ensure an effective integrated inventory for all mining operations
- Services planning process across operations, maintenance and suppliers
- Deliver the most economic and secure supply of goods and services
- Maintain functional financial responsibility
- Ensure effective reporting
- Optimize logistics services, including international freight, domestic freight forwarding, expediting and customs compliance
- Ensure effective internal/external communication to all stakeholders
- Drive strategic KPI's, including procurement on contract, inventory optimization, inventory count accuracy, DIFOT, work order fill rate, etc.
- Drive cost reduction and service improvements
- Drive adherence and training of key procurement policies, standards & processes
- Lead a systematic cost reduction program to achieve industry leading supply agreements
- Provide market guidance and forecasts to site

**Core Competencies**:

- 5-10 years of Supply Chain management / leadership
- Experience in the mining industry, preferably as an EXPAT / Remote Operation
- Master level degree in business, supply chain, statistics or similar
- Ability to work on a Fly In / Fly Out roster
- Ability to lead with vision and set an example
- Innovative and excellent communicator
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
