Are you ready to revolutionise the world of manufacturing through effective Production Planning and Supply Chain Management? We are actively seeking a talented and experienced professional to join our client's team as a Supply Chain Manager.

Your role will play a critical role in optimising production capacity, reducing costs, and championing lean manufacturing principles. Your expertise in production planning, analytical forecasting, and procurement will be instrumental in driving success and ensuring seamless operations. This pivotal position will be at the forefront of our client's organisation.

**The Role - Responsibilities / Duties**:

- Optimise procurement and production planning systems, processes, and resources to plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to ensure planned demand is met.
- Ensure timely availability of supplies/services to meet changing levels of business demand.
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance to direct reports, equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to effectively carry out their tasks.
- Prepare regular management reports, including production capacity and performance, supply risks and other reports as required.
- Support of forecast/inventory targets and communication of production schedules to suppliers and other stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Implement and optimise the supply chain strategy, policies and procedures, ensuring that best practices in production planning and contract management activities maximise returns for the business.
- Drive the supply planning function to develop inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Maintain high standards of work practices and foster a safety-conscious culture.

**About You - Skills and Experience**:

- Hold tertiary qualifications in procurement and/or supply chain management or possess equivalent years of experience.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in Production Planning.
- Have a proven track record in leadership and managing small teams, along with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management principles, specifically in Production Planning.
- Exhibit strong operational experience with SAP.
- Possess a background in manufacturing, essential.
