**The Company**
Our client is committed to improving safe work practice in the construction, rail, and infrastructure sectors, through implementation and management of safe work systems.

**The Role**
As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all business operations, guiding our regional leadership team, improving workflow, generating revenue, and reducing costs to ensure the business functions effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily operations of the business
- Assess and maintain the efficiency of each department of the business, ensuring they have proper leadership and funding
- Monitor finances and accounting in collaboration with the CFO
- Control and monitor budgets and optimize expenses such as staffing, supplies, equipment, assets, fleet& marketing
- Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure, and talent
- Oversee the recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching
- Guide our regional leadership team and lower-level managers, giving them specific directions and objectives
- Work with regional leadership team and lower-level managers to develop and work toward strategic business goals and growth
- Design strategy and set goals for growth
- Ensure employees are motivated and productive

As General Manager, you will demonstrate;
- Proven experience in Managing small to medium teams
- Outstanding Organisational and planning skills
- Ability to motivate people and provide mentorship
- Ability to solve conflicts quickly and refocus staff to their job tasks
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong decision making and results oriented
- Passion and drive with an emphasis on business growth and expansion
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Management (preferred)
- Building and Construction background (desirable)
