- **$77K - $90K per annum (dependent on experience) + superannuation**

**About the role**
As a Building Liaison Officer, you will support the Statutory Building Services Coordinator in managing building permits and the Combustible Cladding Rectification Program. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth administration of building regulations and compliance.
- Other responsibilities include:_
- Delivery of high-quality customer service through prompt and professional response to telephone and counter enquiries relating to building and cladding matters, and provide professional advice where necessary in accordance with organisational and department policies to Council staff, residents and external stakeholders
- Liaise with the Building Surveyors, Building Inspectors and business support teams to ensure that the most effective resources are placed to ensure tasks are completed within statutory and corporate time frames
- To assist in the administration and coordination of Council’s Cladding Rectification Program including (but not limited to) organising inspections and liaising with relevant parties on behalf of the Statutory Building Services Coordinator

**About you**

The following is also required:

- Local government or private sector experience in Building Certification or Building Control and / or demonstrated experience in the building surveying profession
- An ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications and assess their compliance with appropriate legislation
- An ability to explain relevant legislation as related to Building matters
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook) in particular Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge and experience of drafting Building Notices and Orders
- Victorian Drivers License
