**Your new company**

This well-known Federal Government Department is seeking a part-time APS5 Program Officer to join one of their branches that provide strategic policy advice and deliver programs that support the delivery of communications services to all Australians, including regional and rural. This position has recently become available due to an increase in work flow and to help support the team.

**Your new role**

You will work as part of a team to contribute to diverse work streams. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

- Contribute to the delivery of the program including assessing feedback from public consultation and finalising the program guidelines and prepare regular updates to the Minister on the progress of program delivery.
- Assist with preparation and logistics associated with the Ministers roundtable and associated senior officials' committee.
- Provide project and administrative support for delivery and implementation of the program including processing of claims and delegate approval minutes.
- Contribute to ministerial correspondence, briefing, talking points and other written material on programs.
- Build relationships with key internal, industry and State and Territory stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in program procedures and processes.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position you will have previous experience within a similar position and the Federal Government. You will also have excellent communication skills both written and verbally, organisational skills including time management and the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, the ability to work independently and take initiative to manage own workflows and the ability to think, research and investigate issues to find solutions.
