**About the School**: Our school's beginnings were in 1922. In 1989 the Correspondence Pre-School, Primary Correspondence and Secondary Correspondence Schools amalgamated to form Brisbane School of Distance Education (BrisbaneSDE). BrisbaneSDE upholds the vision of the Proud at Work workforce strategy and believes the school should be an environment where staff and students feel safe, supported and valued for who they are. **About the Role**:Responsibilities include**: - Oversee the delivery of documentation presented to the Principal/Executive Principal, schedule appointments, coordinate and organise meetings, conferences, professional development for staff, room bookings and functions, maintain diaries, take minutes of meetings and distribute to attendees and manage the provision of administrative and secretarial support to conferences as required. - Maintain effective time management practices for the Principal/Executive Principal including coordinating diary appointments, prioritising correspondence, preventing unnecessary interruptions and other calendar events. - Monitor and screen incoming telephone calls and correspondence to the office and where necessary direct these to the appropriate areas. - The role directly supports the Deputy Principals and is supervised by the Principal's Executive Services Officer. Please view the Role Description for a full list of responsibilities. **The ideal applicant will have the following skills**: - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to work independently. - Ability to multi task and take direction from multiple Deputies. - Ability to commence work by 8.00am daily. - Knowledgeable with One School functionality. - Knowledge of Education Qld policy and DOE standards are critical.
