**Role**:
This role has high customer involvement and impact from an operational perspective. You will be working particularly closely with our customers and internal teams to ensure both (a) the integrity of the configuration management database (CMDB), and (b) configuration items (CIs)/assets in the managed IT environments are identified, classified, recorded, tracked, audited and reported on, across their respective lifecycles.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support the development and maintenance of Configuration Management and Asset Management plans, processes, procedures, templates and support materials, support integration with customer, internal and supplier processes and systems.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Configuration Data Model (CDM) and corresponding Configuration Item (CI) Classes and Lifecycles.
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and delivery of training, and supporting materials, to new and existing staff, customers and suppliers.
- Support the development and reporting of metrics and KPIs for process performance and CMDB and Asset Register accuracy & health.
- Actively promote the goals and objectives of the Configuration Management and Asset Management processes and the essential roles of the CMDB and Asset Register.
- Process approved updates to the CMDB in accordance with the CDM.
- Monitor the quality of both manual CMDB updates and automatic inflows from integrated data sources.
- Process approved updates to the Asset Register for hardware & software assets, and key documentation (contracts, licenses, etc).
- Support, or undertake where required, the development and production of technical analyses, reports (inventories, volumetrics, trends), conducting of audits, and fulfilment of approved requests.
- Assist in the maintenance and configuration of supporting systems and tools as required.

**Skills & experience**
- 2+ years’ experience, in ITIL Configuration Management/Asset Management Administration within complex, medium or large IT environments
- Extensive experience in customer-service
- Proven experience managing multiple tasks in a busy environment and working under stress in emergencies and demonstrating flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer-service, continual improvement, and ethical business practices.
