Our client is an iconic Australian brand that bring delight to everyday households.
This is a highly collaborative role within a fast-paced, high performing team. You will partner across the organisation; members, sales, marketing, finance and operations to align business plans to achieve businesses key performance metrics. Additionally, strong stakeholder management of both internal and external parties will be critical for successful.
**The Role**
Reporting directly to the General Manager, as the Category Manager - Window Furnishings. The role involves collaborating with members and suppliers to deliver curated products, competitive pricing, and effective communication aligned with our company's purpose. The primary objective is to add value and increase margins for store members by developing profitable product ranges.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement category management plans and strategies to optimise value for money and meet business objectives.
- Analyze market data, conduct competitor research, and monitor industry trends.
- Manage product selection, documentation, pricing, and supplier relations.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to enhance the customer experience.
- Provide direction to support staff in product range development and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Finance Team to define category metrics and financial analysis.
- Ensure supplier and member compliance with company strategies and objectives.
- Deliver exceptional stakeholder satisfaction through effective communication and support.
- Uphold company processes, policies, and standards while driving teamwork and positive culture.
- Develop contract management plans and manage supplier performance by developing effective supplier relationships to enhance category outcomes.
**Your Profile**:
- Minimum 5 years business experience or background in Category / Product Management - ideally within Window Furnishings
- Able to demonstrate your ability to identify & leverage consumer insights to drive effective strategy
- Track record implementing category strategy and management frameworks, pricing structures and processes to create and execute opportunities across the category
- Demonstrated experience in developing customer-led insights into actionable marketing plans
- Strong Sales, Marketing and Technical acumen, with relevant skills in best practice disciplines
- Analytical thinking with strong project management disciplines
- Exceptional customer focus
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Most of all, you are professional and driven to achieve continuous improvement with a proactive approach to your work, willing to take opportunities as they present themselves.
This role is a rare find and adds significant depth to your Category Management career
