- We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior/Legal Assistant to join our Class Actions practice group in Melbourne CBD. This is a 12 month contract and will require a minimum commitment of three days a week.Our Class Actions team run claims on behalf of large groups of people, facing similar issues who ordinarily may be unable to access legal services on their own. Class actions run by the practice are diverse in nature and include shareholder, trusts, human rights, medical device and bushfire claims.Your duties will include:
- Liaising with clients and group members
- Assist with all administration and management of files
- Prepare legal correspondence and court documents
- Extensive diary management
- Conducting research tasks (legal and factual)
- Reviewing discovered documents and analysing issues arising
