About the Role
As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist in our team, you’ll play a key role in helping to support the Financial Regulatory Reporting Manager to report Financial based regulatory Returns to the Regulators. Your role will be working closely with the team to ensure governance matters are well managed across the Reg COE (including escalations, resubmissions, change requests, documentation of regulatory reporting business rules, interpretations, assumptions, and related registers).
Your role is part of the Financial Control (FC) community of practice, with principal accountabilities being:
Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
Implementation and monitoring of the Group’s accounting policies and internal control frameworks
Integrity of the numbers by delivering accurate, reliable, and timely financial information
Driving Future of Finance simplification agenda, ensuring consistency with objectives and a focus on continuous improvement
Embedding a strong governance culture

What will your day look like?
**As a Regulatory Reporting Specialist, you will**:
Ensure all regulatory reporting obligations are satisfied on a timely basis
Ensure business, regulatory and operational risks are managed and mitigated
Coach and mentor Hub Financial Control teams involved in regulatory reporting, (ensure regular and structured communication with offshore teams)
Co-ordinate completion of specific regulatory reporting requirements ensuring returns / reporting disclosures are of a high quality and are submitted by due date.
Assist in managing the end-to-end processes relating to Finance regulatory returns, ensuring well controlled and efficient processes exist in accordance with Group Finance and Regulatory Reporting guidelines.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Financial Analysis - proficient at sourcing data and undertaking financial analysis, providing insight and analytical reviews. Advanced use of MS Excel and Qlik
Communication - strong visual and written communication skills to communicate initiatives, projects, ideas or progress to senior stakeholders
Collaboration - able to work with diverse groups of people, sharing knowledge, skills and insight to achieve mutually beneficial goals
Continuous/Process Improvement - demonstrated initiative to have a continuous improvement mindset
Regulatory Reporting or Statutory Reporting within the financial services industry
Experience in a Markets/Trading area, along with understanding of Derivatives and other Markets/Treasury transactions
