**The role**:
As the **Privacy Regulatory Change Lead**, you will be responsible for:
- analysing privacy regulatory trends and anticipated changes in privacy regulation in Australia and internationally;
- making recommendations on how best to respond to and incorporate new or changed requirements into NAB’s ecosystem; and
- working with the business to develop new, or change existing systems, processes and controls to ensure compliance with the law.
**Your opportunity**
- Analyse privacy regulatory trends and contemporary issues
- Co-develop and manage a privacy regulatory reform project including planning, analysis, delivery and reporting
- Support the maturity of a privacy framework by providing privacy risk and compliance advice
- Develop and execute extensive stakeholder engagement plans, including working groups
- Negotiate outcomes to complex issues across diverse stakeholders
- Implement privacy-by-design
- Undertake Privacy and Data Ethics Assessments of initiatives and processes
- Promote the NAB culture of privacy compliance through every interaction and involvement in key business initiatives
- Consult with NAB legal team to confirm legal interpretation and gather legal advice implication of based on identified risk
- Perform assessments of NAB controls to determine effectiveness, internal/external changes and risks, and identify corrective action plans
- Identify areas for process improvement across all aspects of global privacy compliance
**What you will bring**:
- 2+ Years of professional privacy experience
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Experience delivering to regulatory commitments such as Enforceable Undertakings (preferred, not required)
- Sound decision-making skills, including the ability to provide effective guidance in circumstances where some variables are uncertain
- Privacy qualifications such as CIPM, CIPP, CIPT (preferred, not required)
- Experience in a highly regulated environment (financial services preferred)
- Experience advising business stakeholders on privacy-by-design/privacy compliance topics
- Strong privacy expertise with a firm understanding of Australian privacy law (knowledge of additional regulatory jurisdictions a plus)
- Strong analytical capability, with close attention to detail
- Team player and proven ability to collaborate and achieve effective outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to distil complex concepts and data into a form that is easily communicated and understood
