**The Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting permanent full time opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join us in the Corporate Services Division based in Parramatta.

TfNSW offers flexible working arrangements with a balance of office and work from home options.

If successful, you will partner with business clients from the Rail Operations, Train Crewing and Customer Experience branches of Sydney Trains, to review and analyse operational and strategic drivers, processes, information, and systems with a view to enabling improved business outcomes and benefits for these clients. You will gather and document detailed business and technical requirements in response to requests received for TfNSW IT services from our Sydney Trains clients including, but not limited to, investment in innovative and fit for purpose technology solutions as part of projects sponsored by our business clients.

**What you will be involved in,**
- Providing specialist advice relevant to the feasibility / suitability of proposed solutions to meet the organisational and strategic priorities of our Sydney Trains business clients and optimise their operational performance.
- Develop and assure key artefacts such as detailed business and functional requirements, technical/interface designs, business process models, user stories/requirements and use cases / scenarios relevant to our client needs.
- Foster and maintain trusted working relationships with key business and TfNSW IT stakeholders. Promote teamwork, collaboration, the ready exchange of information, ideas and solutions and endeavour to influence positive outcomes for our clients.
- Role model and promote agility and flexibility in responding to business and industry changes.
- Lead the detailed analysis of the environment, people, processes and systems

**About you**
- You are an experienced Lead Business Analyst who has a strong background working with business clients to successfully identify and implement targeted and innovative technology investments.
- You possess a curiosity to learn and keep yourself up to date with new technologies and industry developments. You will have proven experience conducting analysis of business problems, opportunities and needs across a complex IT service portfolio.
- Team leadership and mentoring experience highly regarded.
- You can work with limited supervision but are equally a team player who demonstrates a strong work ethic and is able to capably take on complex matters and prioritise their work to consistently meet challenging targets.
- You will have strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Well-developed interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, and negotiation skills.

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 9 ($142,178 - $159,238) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
