Corporate Services provides sustainable strategies, solutions and services to enable our clients to deliver with confidence Transport's vision. The division thrives in providing a robust to commercial management, ensuring financial sustainability across the cluster and driving strategic projects, procurement and transformation through the provision of corporate services to internal clients.
**The opportunity**
An exciting new opportunity now exists for a **Business Performance and Improvement Specialist** within Transport Shared Services
- Finance & Procurement team in our Corporate Services division. This is a **Fixed term opportunity for 6 months with a view to extend.**
Reporting to the Manager Service Optimisation, you will be working with data and analytics to provide ongoing reporting and providing innovative solutions to evaluate interpret and provide guidance and recommendations, based on the data gathered.
This is not just a data and analytics role. You will have the opportunity to work with process analysis, road maps, innovation and design to build better system process and business capabilities. The role will also enable a high level of collaboration and stakeholder engagement in order to gain support from the business be able to coordinate and chair formal discussions

**About You**
You will have a strong background in Shared Services and keen to step into a role where you can utilise your previous experiences whilst building your career and gaining key knowledge to enhance/ grow your future skill set. Your functional knowledge in financial and procurement processes will support your understand fast paced learning in a complex and highly regulated environment. Whilst a Service Improvement back ground is preferred, you will also have demonstrated your ability to work across multiple projects and liaise with a variety of stakeholders to achieve better business outcomes.
**Essential Requirements**:
- Assist with the development of business cases and improvement initiatives by providing and analysing information, including gap analysis and developing what if scenarios
- Provide PMO support to ensure Finance and Procurement service improvement initiatives are tracked and reported on a timely manner
- Chair engagement workshops to conduct deep dive analysis of individual processes, gather business requirement, document meeting minutes and present detailed and thorough research reports that present findings and address key issues to TSS and agency stakeholders
- Document and maintain risk and issue register capturing potential people, system and process risks and issues
- Provide proactive business and performance information and analysis including gap analysis and dashboard reports using qualitative and quantitative information.
- Develop and maintain service delivery related reporting, and assist with providing insightful information and potential opportunities.
- Assist with end-to-end strategy development process for sourcing projects and the implementation of initiatives through data management.
- Interrogate information systems to establish information sources and transform non-standard data into legible knowledge. Identify gaps in availability of information and participate in the development of strategies to address deficiencies.
**Salary and Benefits**
The salary for this position is Transport Grade 7.
