**The Role**
This is a new position in a new Branch which provides an exciting opportunity to be involved in the coordination of building the Branch from the ground up. Initially, you will work directly to the Assistant Secretary and will use your initiative and sound judgment in providing high level of coordination skills and administrative support to the newly established ANCA Branch.
You will:
- Contribute to a broad range of activities include workforce, financial reporting, recruitment activities, business planning and information management;
- Assist with the development of ANCA Briefs and Material;
- Provide coordination of ANCA Branch activity including the coordination of cross branch input into reports, presentations and enquiries;
- Manage the tracking of ANCA Tasks through an auditable task system Ensuring the correct level;
- Ensure correct templates and processes are utilised by ANCA personnel;
- Assist in the maintenance of ANC Business Process and related ANCA policy and publications;
- Management of ANCA Business related registers; and
- The scope of work is quite broad and daily tasks will likely evolve in response to the growth of the agency.
The ANC Coordinator will need to be flexible in their approach and adapt to new challenges and shifting priorities.
**About our Team**
The Australian Naval Classification Authority (ANCA) is responsible for establishing, managing and continuously improving a system of naval classification (the ANC Framework) to assure the seaworthiness of naval vessels operating in Defence of Australia.
As a newly-established Defence agency, the ANCA is undergoing establishment and will includes a diverse geographic workforce based in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide. The ANC Authority has engaged a long term Sovereign Industry Partner, Bureau Veritas, to support ANCA work.
You will have a considerable level of stakeholder engagement and be able to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Building and maintaining relationships will be important and you will form and maintain effective working relationships within the ANCA Branch and work collaboratively with other engineering branches and those associated to Naval Shipbuilding, the wider Defence organisation and the Defence Industry. You will also need to have the ability to form and maintain relationships with our commercial Sovereign Industry Partner, Bureau Veritas.
Your work may include providing sound advice, interpreting policy and contributing to strategic planning. You will be required to coordinate activity from the broader ANCA team, which is geographically-diverse and undergoing a period of growth.
