Ideally based in Brisbane, this role is responsible for driving the L&D agenda for the organisation, working with leadership and HR teams to evaluate learning needs and plan and coordinate learning and development programs to support strategic, technical, and leadership skillsets to build organisational capability across our organisation, with particular emphasis on Industrial (operations).
**Your Passion**
Key success factors for this role are to help build people capability to drive growth of our business, and accelerate a learning culture (including digital learning).
To find and implement innovative and pragmatic ways of ensuring people are our skilled and agile secret weapon, when it comes to the fight for competitive advantage. Essentially you will plan, communicate, and deliver the annual training budgeting process and plan for all elements of internal and external training needs, coordinating and working closely with HRBPs and L&D Resources.
**Your Expertise**
To fit this role you will need a strong L&D foundation of experience and a whole lot of energy and tenacity - it is a big gig, we make no apologies - but it will be rewarding.
You will be actively contributing to the tangible growth of people and leaders right across the business. You will be getting your hands dirty - owning the end to end development and coordination of new and existing industrial L&D programs, and leading the Industrial Learning SteerCo. As well as end to end coordination of the National Graduate and Industrial Expedition Programs including the content and delivery of the program, starting with identifying business and site needs and all centralised development activities for the program (also monitoring the sourcing and recruitment of graduates with the HR managers).
And while you are doing all of this, you will also be creating and rolling out leadership development initiatives, at the same time as assessing emerging gaps in competency for corporate functions, at the same time as analysing activity, monitoring budget, evaluating ROI. you get the idea
And all at the same time as laughing with colleagues, and celebrating successes.
To get a shoe in, your profile will be based along the following lines (give or take, we could add a whole lot more):
- Experience in similar fast paced L&D/training related roles (FMCG industry/medium to large organisation's desirable).
- Experience/demonstrated knowledge of Leading, monitoring and execution of annual training plans and budget, providing monthly updates to key stakeholders and drive decisions to bring the training agenda back on track if needed. Also, lead initiatives to drive training budget monitoring to become automated.
- Outstanding Analysis, Planning & Organisational / Administrative Skills.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, building credibility through solution orientation and delivery of commitments.
- Professional bias towards understanding first, then acting.
- Team player attitude and approach. We get nowhere without each other.
