Jetstar is currently looking for an energetic and hard-working Compliance Officer based at our Head Office located in Melbourne. As the Compliance Officer, you will provide administrative and operational support to the Compliance Manager, and will oversee the accuracy and currency of crew records, including training, qualifications, licences, and regulatory credentials. The role involves daily monitoring of compliance status, identifying and resolving gaps, and supporting operational continuity through effective cross-functional collaboration.

This position is the first point of escalation for time-critical compliance issues and plays a key role in safeguarding the safety, legality, and efficiency of flight operations with compliance to the Company Operations Manual and applicable CASA legislation.

Key responsibilities include:

- Collaborate with relevant operational teams to ensure both Pilots and Cabin Crew are compliant and legal to operate without causing disruptions to service
- Demonstrate the capacity to effectively leverage and navigate operational systems to review and update crew documents and record
- Maintain & update training and proficiency check records, ground training courses, route qualifications, passports and visas, ASICs, pilot licences, medical, type ratings, recency details and crew qualifications
- Ensure the safety and security of all people, assets, systems, and procedures engaged in or associated with the airline through compliance with Jetstar policy & procedures and CASA legislation
- Conduct audits and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance and the necessary documentation is received and updated in a timely manner.
- Check & validate legality warnings in relevant systems to avoid any critical violations
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in documentation processes and system workflows.

Ideally, we are seeking:

- Minimum Diploma in a relevant field (Aviation/ Business/ Administration) or equivalent experience in relevant administrative roles
- Knowledge and understanding of airline operations and aviation compliance/legislation is highly desirable
- Attention to detail with a high aptitude and competency with MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Highly motivated and able to deal with multiple tasks in a timely manner
- Organised and efficient with the ability to problem solve
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels;
- Able to work effectively independently and within a team
- Ability to adapt to consistently changing environment and think laterally
