Melbourne- Asset Management- Contract or TemporaryOur client, a global financial services firm seeks a Compliance Officer to work across its business units on an initial 6-month maternity cover contract.

This role supports the Australian businesses in relation to all aspects of its compliance program including understanding and interpreting regulatory requirements, regulatory engagement, and financial crime matters. The role will also require monitoring, testing, assurance, policy drafting, training and other duties as assigned.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Evaluates regulatory requirements and expectations against existing processes and control to identify potential gaps, recommending procedural changes if necessary.
- Evaluates regulatory changes and assists with implementation where required.
- Provide advice on Compliance programs and applicable laws, regulations, rules and standards, including keeping them informed of developments or changes that may affect their area.
- Experience and knowledge of Custody, Asset Servicing, Fund Administration, Treasury, FX, Research, and / or payments businesses as well as corporate governance regulations such as class order relief, responsible person / manager regimes, record keeping and AML.
- Ability to draft compliance policies and procedures.
- Produce and analyse compliance reports and data for internal committees and boards.
