**The Opportunity**

The Spatial team at Urbis is seeking a motivated and dynamic **Assistant Spatial Analyst** for a **12-month parental leave cover** role based in Brisbane. In this position, you'll work closely with our consulting teams to deliver high-quality GIS services across a wide range of projects for both Urbis and Cistri. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with **1-3 years of industry experience** who are eager to collaborate with leading experts and fast-track their geospatial career.

**You will**:

- Collaborate with consulting staff to highlight the benefits of GIS analysis for client outcomes.
- Create visually appealing maps that adhere to corporate branding and client requirements.
- Support geo-processing tasks, including complex spatial queries for map display and data extraction.
- Demonstrate strong cartographic skills and contribute to the review of Urbis map templates and styles.
- Assist in data creation, maintenance, and geocoding for project-specific and corporate spatial data needs.
- Ensure consistency and quality of GIS products delivered to the wider business.

**About You**:

- Has a tertiary qualification in Geographic Information Systems (or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS and A.G.O.L as well as the Microsoft desktop suite
- Experience with a wide variety of spatial data types, including their creation and maintenance
- Knowledge of good cartographic practice that you can actively deliver
