Are you a GIS & Spatial guru? Join Sunwater on a fixed term basis until the end of 2026 as a Spatial Analyst, where you'll play a vital role providing technical capability in working with GIS web services and GIS data and supports the business by fulfilling ad-hoc GIS mapping and analysis requests, managing data in the corporate GIS databases, and helping to maintain Sunwater's GIS. You will be responsible for providing GIS capability a diverse range of projects, as well as enabling capability in areas directly within the GIS and Digital Engineering domain.
As a Spatial Analyst at Sunwater, you will:
- Maintain the GIS database and perform updates and edits.
- Prepare maps and data records as needed in response to analysis and mapping requests.
- Review and verify spatial data provided by contractors for accuracy and consistency, modifying and correcting database values as necessary.
We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in spatial, survey and geographical concepts and their application in the water industry or similar sectors. You will hold tertiary qualifications in GIS, Software Development, Data Science, Computer Science, or other relevant fields, and have a minimum 5 years' experience in CAD, GIS and digital mapping/analysis. You will also bring:

Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team
This is a fixed term position offering an array of attractive benefits including a starting salary of $109,916 plus 12.75% superannuation, access to banked time and TOIL, 17.5% leave loading and a genuine emphasis on work/life balance.
