Henderson, Australia Allship Engineering Full time

Allship Engineering is seeking a reliable, self-starter who is interested in verifying and coordinating mechanical isolations of various marine systems on Navy ships.

Previous experience as a Marine Technician in the Royal Australian Navy or experience in a similar role within Defence Industry is highly regarded.

Primary work locations are Henderson and Rockingham, Western Australia.

Salary package: $130,000 p.a.+ Super

Overtime and penalty rates offered in line with the relevant Award.

**Mechanical Isolations Coordinator Overview**
- At all times, do all that is reasonably practicable to ensure your own safety, and the safety of people around you
- Attend the worksite and verify all isolations are complete
- In conjunction with the system/equipment owner, confirm mechanical isolation requirements
- Understand testing procedures and be competent in the use of testing equipment
- Assess and approve all activities where hazardous energy may be present and issue permit to work
- Assess isolation plans and add/remove/modify plans to ensure integrity and safety of isolation configurations
- Manage electronic and manual danger tagging systems as per Client policy and procedure
- Conduct inspections post de-isolation to ensure marine systems are returned to operational and/or desired system configuration/s
- Conduct equipment and marine system inspections
- Attend Critical Risk meetings as the company representative as directed
- Liaise with client to prioritise scheduling of isolations as directed.

**Qualifications & Education Requirements**
- Minimum Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30219) or equivalent _**(essential)**_
- Construction white card _**(essential)**_
- C class driver’s licence _**(essential)**_
- MSMPER200 - Work in accordance with an issued permit (desirable)
- MSMPER300 - Issue work permits (desirable)
- MSMWHS201 - Conduct hazard analysis (desirable)
- MSMWHS217 - Gas test atmospheres (desirable)
- RIIRIS201E - Conduct local risk control (desirable)
- RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces (desirable)
- RIIWHS204E - Work safely at heights (desirable)
- UETDRMP007 - Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel (desirable)

**Preferred Skills**
- 4 years’ experience in a Marine Trade
- Ability to read, understand, interpret Repair Specifications and Work Instructions
- Ability to read, understand and complete Inductions and Safety questionnaires
- Ability to read and understand engineering schematics/drawings
- Physical ability to climb ladders, stairwells, and navigate engineering compartments on Ships.
- Basic computer skills such as using Microsoft 365.

Pay: $130,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
