**Your new role**:
As a Technician Team Leader at BAE Systems, your duties will be;
- Lead the High Risk Management Team to ensure the integrity and safekeeping of RAN vessels whilst under BAE MATCON.
- Lead the High Risk Management Team to ensure that a safe working environment is maintained for personnel entering and working on ANZAC class vessels whilst under BAE systems MATCON.
- Ensure the set up and maintenance of shore power connection of ANZAC class vessels on the hardstand and in water.
- Ensure the set up and maintenance of ships supporting services whilst vessels are on the hard stand and in the water under BAE MATCON.
- Lead day to day tasks for isolating ships systems and issuance of High Risk Permits as required for production and maintenance tasks.
- Assist with the safekeeping and security of ITAR classified items and documents in care of the HRMT.
- Maintain and update isolation management database to reflect ships systems and to support isolation requirements across vessels
- Assign jobs which are relevant to each team members respective trade
- Provide detailed daily, weekly and monthly updates as required by the specific project
- Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will need the following:
Essential
- Applicable Australian Recognised Trade Certificate and/or W.A Electrical Licence
- Ability to achieve a Defence Security Clearance
- Previous experience leading teams with demonstrable leadership skills e.g strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and people management
- Proven ability to read and understand technical drawings and strong computer skills
- Ability to promote a safe working environment with the aim for zero harm
- Previous marine/defence experience with knowledge of ANZAC class electrical/mechanical systems
- Good working knowledge of Australian Standards and regulations relating to Electrical work, Confined space entry, hot work, painting and blasting, working at heights.
- Experience with atmospheric testing and issue of hazardous work permits.
- Good working knowledge of site procedures

Desirable
- Previous experience operating/maintaining electronic isolation management tools
- Knowledge and understanding of ANZAC standards, rules and regulations
- Working at Heights
- Confined space entry
- ERT
- Relevant RTO training for issue of and working with permits
