We are seeking a CAD Coordinator to join our Technical Services team. Reporting to the Design Lead you will develop, implement, and maintain company-wide CAD standards, templates, libraries, and procedures across the design and production teams.

This role plays a vital part in aligning drafting practices, maintaining consistent quality, and promoting collaboration between Australian and international sites. It also supports the delivery of efficient, accurate, and standardized CAD outputs. Travel to site may be required as part of this role.

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Standards & Template Management**
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard CAD templates across multiple disciplines, including:
- Arrangements (General Arrangement, Construction Plans & Profiles, Structural Outputs, Midship Sections, Penetration & Equipment Arrangements)
- Systems (Schematics, Spools)
- Electrical (Schematics, Electrical Arrangements)
- HVAC (Schematics and Arrangements)
- AutoCAD Plant (P&ID and system schematics)
- SolidWorks (Mechanical and Structural)
- Lead the development and control of company Design & Production Standard Detail Books, including:
- Structural Details
- Weld Standards
- Production Detailing Standards
- Mechanical & Piping Guidelines
- Geometric Tolerance Standards

**2. CAD Libraries & Data Management**
- Maintain and standardise:
- Stock and Equipment Libraries
- 2D & 3D Block Libraries
- Workshare and Sandbox environments
- CAD standards and setup for relevant platforms
- Ensure CAD data is structured, version-controlled, and accessible in alignment with company protocols.

**3. Drafting Systems & Quality Control**
- Oversee CAD and Navisworks procedures and modelling workflows.
- Establish and maintain drafting and modelling checklists, sheet set guidelines, and output protocols.
- Manage folder structures and file naming conventions for drafting outputs.
- Coordinate and standardise X-Ref management processes.
- Ensure plot styles and output settings meet both design and production requirements.

**4. Training & Support**
- Support onboarding and upskilling of drafting personnel.
- Deliver training in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).Provide troubleshooting assistance and act as the primary point of contact for CAD-related issues.

**Essential**
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Drafting, Engineering Design, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications in relevant CAD platforms (desirable but not essential).
- Strong experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant, and SolidWorks.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing CAD standards, templates, and libraries.
- Excellent understanding of drafting and modelling practices for shipbuilding or a similar engineering sector.
- Familiarity with Navisworks model coordination and processes.
- Experience working in collaborative, multi-site project environments.
- Knowledge of classification society and industry standards such as Lloyd’s Register (LR), DNV DEFAUST, and ASME (highly desirable).Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

**Desirable**
- Experience with ShipConstructor software.
- Exposure to AutoCAD Plant for piping schematics.
- Working knowledge of X-Refs and large drawing set management.
- Familiarity with Australian shipbuilding or heavy fabrication practices.
- Understanding of classification society and international engineering standards (e.g., LR, DNV DEFAUST, ASME).Prior experience leading or mentoring drafting/design teams.
