**Sydney Olympic Park Authority(SOPA)** is seeking a dedicated **Habitat Management Coordinator** to manage natural area maintenance contracts and provide technical expertise in natural areas management. This role is crucial in ensuring the proper function, performance, and safety of natural assets while promoting flora and fauna conservation within one of Australia’s largest and most diverse urban parklands. You will manage bush regeneration contracts for threatened species habitats and endangered ecological communities, develop specifications for new projects and contracts, and work within an adaptive management framework to achieve biodiversity and weed management outcomes.

**About the role**:

- Manage and coordinate term maintenance service contracts, ensuring compliance with SOPA contract terms and conditions.
- Administer and manage natural areas maintenance services within allocated annual budget limits.
- Provide technical advice on weed and habitat management.
- Lead and develop specifications and documentation for maintenance services and habitat enhancement works.
- Prepare and deliver maintenance and asset service reports, contract management, quality audits, and performance reports to management on a quarterly basis.
- Consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to minimize the impact of service delivery on development within the precinct, commercial businesses, events, programs, and activities, ensuring the safe use and enjoyment of the precinct by visitors, workers, and residents.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Experience in managing procurement and contracts, ensuring compliance with service agreements.
- Strong communication skills to manage service provider and stakeholder relationships effectively
- Autonomy in decision-making and accountability for delivering work assignments on time and to quality expectations.

Essential requirements
- Relevant qualifications in conservation and land management, landscape management, and/or equivalent experience
- Sound experience in contract management
