Your opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager People & Capability, you’ll be responsible for enabling strategic growth through the creation of a meaningful employee experiences which drive inclusion, engagement and retention and delivers high performance. You’ll focus on optimising and creating efficiency in our systems and processes to enable our people to deliver their best work whilst managing risk and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across the People and Capability function.
This position is generalist in nature and will enable strategic evolution of our People and Capability Operations aligned with our next phase of growth.
This role may be based in Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney/Greater Sydney.
The specifics
**You will lead a small, specialist team and**:
Provide strategic and operational guidance, ensuring best in class human resources practices as designed and deployed
Develop and deliver people strategies that enhance our employee experience including: employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity & inclusion, career development and leadership development
**Deliver strategic initiatives that focus on**: retaining key talent, delivering high performance and building organisational capability
Deliver key change management programs and activities
Plan for and execute mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration plans and significant change management activities
Oversee employee and industrial relations, ensuring legislative compliance, ensuring the provision of sound industrial relations advice to management and appropriate relationships with unions and employee representatives.
Be accountable for WorkCover compliance and effective injury management
**As our ideal applicant, you’ll present with**:
Substantial generalist human resources experience gained in medium/large national organisations encompassing employee experience, culture, change management, human resources business partnering, learning, industrial relations and compliance
Experience working in blue and white collared environments and providing generalist human resources support across multi-disciplinary workforces
Proven experience building an organisational values based culture and brand that fosters high performance, inclusiveness, collaboration, trust and engagement
Significant experience undertaking substantial change management activities including mergers and acquisitions
Highly developed interpersonal skills and consultative leadership style
A highly developed understanding of risk management, regulatory compliance, industrial and employment relations, and workers compensation, experience managing this across national operations
A tertiary qualification in human resources or a relevant discipline will be well regarded as will additional experience and/or qualifications in communications, change management or project management.
Due to the nature of our work, you'll need to be an Australian citizen and eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
