**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Hub Lead will spearhead the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of our enterprise risk management framework. This framework is expected to safely enable Medibank to achieve its 2030 Vision of creating the best health and wellbeing for Australia. This role plays a critical part in ensuring effective risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting across the Medibank Group, while also managing the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system and supporting executive-level reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and maintenance of Medibank’s Risk Management Strategy, ensuring alignment with APRA prudential standards (including CPS220, CPS230, CPS234). Provide thought leadership and drive innovation across all risk activities.
- Embed and enhance the enterprise risk management framework and GRC system. Collaborate with the broader Risk and Compliance team to embed the frameworks and systems to actively manage the risks in line with our Board’s expected Risk Appetite and Culture.
- Oversee any prudential reviews and lead the design and implementation of identified uplift areas. Monitor the effectiveness of the three lines of defence and build frameworks, policies and procedures to provide integrated assurance strategies.
- Act as Business System Owner for the GRC system. Collaborate with IT and vendors to enhance functionality and reporting capabilities.
- Inspire and guide the Enterprise Risk Management team. Promote a culture of empowerment, accountability, and alignment with Medibank’s values and work rhythms.
- Maintain a central risk register and monitor inherent, residual, and target risks. Prepare and present insightful risk reports for executive and board-level audiences.

**About you**:

- Extensive experience in designing and implementing risk management frameworks and systems within large Financial Services environments (Banking or Insurance).
- Proven leadership experience managing risk professional teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong background in risk identification, assessment, and management.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage risk data to generate actionable insights and improve the risk profiles.
- Deep knowledge of operational risk frameworks, methodologies, and control techniques.
- Ability to thrive in an initiative-driven environment, delivering results within agreed timelines.
