**We seek a suitably qualified individual to assist in the maintenance of parks, trees and streetscapes** in accordance with the City’s Maintenance Plan, as well as responsibility in the following;
- Horticultural and Turf maintenance of parks, trees, and streetscapes within the City of Melville.
- Correct use and minor maintenance of small and medium horticultural plant and equipment.
- Conducting minor reticulation maintenance and report any reticulation maintenance issues to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Reporting on maintenance requirements in consultation with the Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Implementing Basic Traffic management within the working environment as required.
- Compiling daily reports on the progress of the Parks Services maintenance schedule.

**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Certificate II Horticulture, Turf qualification or equivalent trade certificate and experience in relevant position.
- White Card.
- Current C, MR, and HR Class Drivers Licence.

**Other skills**:

- Experience in horticulture or turf within parks and gardens including mowing, tree planting, pruning, landscaping and reticulation.
- Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and maintenance of horticultural plant and equipment including identification of maintenance issues.
- Considerable practical experience in Turf and Horticultural maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in pest, disease and weed identification.
- Experience in identifying minor reticulation issues.
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
