**The Role**
**Duties**:

- Accountable to contribute to the development and maintenance of trials project planning and performance processes in accordance with agreed procedures and performance standards.
- Perform roles such as ISSM, TRACO, PHOTCO, KOTS Operator, Weibel RADAR Operator, C-Band RADAR Operator, TMFTS on deployments to the Woomera Test Range or other locations as required.
- Assist with preparations for project test, evaluation and acceptance programs.
- Research, prepare briefs, correspondence and reports including submissions for committee consideration.
- Work collaboratively, operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders and understand their expectations and concerns.
- Adjust project management methodologies to comply with legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
- Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action.
- Proficiently operate a minimum of two Range systems and utilise SQN Planning tools (i.e. Solypsis / ARCGIS)
- Operate mobile range systems in remote / austere conditions - (Camping Out) for extended periods.

**About our Team**
AFTRSQN provides a safe, secure and controlled Instrumented ‘Advanced Training and Test Environment’ (ATTE) ISO whole-of-Government directed activities, testing of war material and Raise Train Sustain activities to support Force Generation (FORGEN) for the ADF, our allies and foreign partners.

The team works directly with Range Users and other stakeholders to develop and execute the test environment, including planning, execution and oversight to ensure efficient use of SQN resources to provide a level of range support and instrumentation that best meets customer expectations, integrity of the test environment and compliance with relevant policy.

AFTRSQN is seeking an individual who aspires to excellence with demonstrated leadership attributes, effective communication skills and a willingness to work with an integrated high performing team. The individual will be trained to operate bespoke range instrumentation systems so must demonstrate an ability/willingness to learn.

Once trained the individual will be required to continue to develop knowledge, skills and experience to meet and sustain prescribed operator proficiency levels The individual will provide project support, technical, professional and policy advice in relation to complex work and understand and contribute to strategic, operational and tactical planning and policy development.
