Our Community Safety team provides a highly visible and responsive Community Safety service in partnership with the community to contribute to a safe and secure lifestyle and sustainable city.
**About the Position**
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Community Safety team as a Business Improvement Specialist. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a holistic business improvement program across the business unit, ensuring effective and consistent service delivery for our customers.
**Key Responsibilities**
The duties of the Business Improvement Specialist will include but are not limited to:
- Lead the review, development and implementation of suite of tools to enhance service delivery
- Drive the growth in business improvement capability across the Community Safety Team
- Use DMAIC problem-solving methodologies to identify areas of improvement and potential projects or initiatives
- Conduct research to provide high-level reports and presentations to senior management
- Facilitate internal workshops and events related to business improvement
- Leverage learning’s and root-cause analysis to facilitate continuous improvement
**About You**
- Proven experience in a similar role and relevant qualification in project management, business improvement or equivalent.
- Highly motivated with a proactive, solution focused approach
- Sound knowledge and understanding of best practice principles
- Ability to work autonomously and an active team player
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

This permanent full-time position is a Level 8 Inside Workforce Agreement position which attracts a salary from $106,999.38 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.

- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia
