**COVID-19 VACCINATION COMPLIANCY**
All Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with the organisation, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available
**RESPIRATOR USE**
Health workers may be required to use a respirator, as part of their appointment with the organisation. Where a respirator is required for use, workers will be instructed in their safe use; including donning, doffing and fit checking. Staff may be required to complete fit testing to selected respirator/s to assess their facial fit/seal. At all times when a health worker is required to use a respirator, the health worker must not have any facial hair present. Processes are in place to support workers that need to keep facial hair due to religious observance requirements and/ or health conditions.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Effective communication on phone and face-face with customers and clients.
- Obtain and update all patient details on Cerner PAS database to ensure accurate and up to date patient information is available.
- Conduct thorough patient demographical checks for existing Medical Record Numbers before allocating new identification numbers.
- Conduct patient interviews to establish their private health eligibility and election and subsequently completing all relevant financial documentation for signatures pertaining to patient's admission. Complete accurate on-line Thelma checks to establish insurance status.
- Responsible for the decision and accurate completion of financial documentation of patient's presenting for elective booking to the Department upon registration process including compensable, motor vehicle accidents. Workers compensation, DVA, reciprocal, medicare ineligible and others. Inform Medical Records Department of any identified duplication of Medical Record Numbers. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of patient's data including information referring to staff who have been patient's in the SLHD.
- During eMR downtime ensure appropriate manual downtime processes and procedures and followed.
- Attend all mandatory and personal development relevant to professional development and assist with department orientation and training of new staff.
- All other duties as determined by the Admissions and Bookings Supervisor, Patient Registration Manager and 2nd In-Charge in absence of both Patient Registration Manager in accordance with the Health Employees Administrative (staff) Award.

- Ability to use own initiative in order to make informative decisions regarding patients election processes.
- Flexibility to work in a variety of areas.
**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to function as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to organise and set work priorities to meet department benchmarks and KPI's.
- Demonstrated computer literacy including proficient keyboard and data entry skills or knowledge of hospital information systems or a similar client database system.
