**COVID-19 VACCINATION COMPLIANCY**

All Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with the organisation, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. Please provide proof of booster vaccination if available

**RESPIRATOR USE**

Health workers may be required to use a respirator, as part of their appointment with the organisation. Where a respirator is required for use, workers will be instructed in their safe use; including donning, doffing and fit checking. Staff may be required to complete fit testing to selected respirator/s to assess their facial fit/seal. At all times when a health worker is required to use a respirator, the health worker must not have any facial hair present. Processes are in place to support workers that need to keep facial hair due to religious observance requirements and/ or health conditions.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Receive all elective surgical and procedure bookings, check compliance against NSW Surgery Access Policy for minimum data set requirement and add to eMR accordingly.
- Sending out and receiving audit letters back from patients/carers/GPs and actioning or updating bookings.
- Process admission paperwork, ensuring that the patients on the theatre list reconcile and paperwork is transferred to the Peri-Operative Unit for all patients their surgical treatment.
- Liaise with Doctors about their Waitlist bookings, including receiving weekly waitlist reports and passed admission dates, amend bookings as required and escalate any issues requiring resolution. Attend all in service arranged regarding elective waiting lists.
- Participate in internal and external audits in relation to Waiting Lists.
- Liaise with patients, treating AMO's, Pre-Admission Clinics and operating theatres in relation to any waitlist bookings and upcoming theatre lists.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of clinical staff involved with The Perioperative, Preadmission and Endoscopy Units and participate in quality improvement projects involving the Booking Office and waitlist.
- Attend all mandatory and personal development courses and assist with departmental orientation and training of new staff.
- Participate in all WH&S inspections and audits as well as reporting all incidents in a timely and appropriate manner.

**KEY CHALLENGES**
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff, representatives from other RPA/SLHD Departments.
- Ability to cope in a high pressure environment with a heavy workload and competing priorities.
- Data accuracy and attention to detail with all waitlist data audits and exercise own initiative to multitask and problem solve quickly.

**SELECTION CRITERIA**
- Previous experience working in a Booking Office environment and/or Medical Terminology certificate or knowledge of Ministry of Health Surgery Access Policy.
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills and evidence of a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
- Evidence of excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes.
- Strong ability to work under pressure in a busy and demanding environment including the ability to organise and set work priorities to meet departme
