**Role Purpose**:
This role develops winning strategies and solutions to address the Australian travel assistance market, building and executing go-to-market and optimisation strategies, understanding clients, customers, markets and technology in our business environment and supporting our sales efforts all to ensure a customer-centric, harmonised product portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Head of Travel Australia and functional reporting to the Regional Head of PM&I Travel.

**Duties & responsibilities include**:
**Strategic Market Planning**

- Develop winning strategies and solutions to address the Travel market. Define the overall product portfolio strategy based on market trends, consumer insights, and portfolio profitability.
- Define addressable market, target market and target share and/or size and expected profitability. Manage growth expectations in collaboration with Product/UW, Sales, and Finance.
- Perform necessary market and consumer research to provide actionable intelligence and support for VOC activities.
- Assess competitive landscape and identify opportunities and threats, as well as best practices.
- Custodian of the Travel strategic plan for Australia, responsible for coordinating across functions, ensuring alignment and advocating local needs with Regional and Global Travel strategy.

**Product Planning**
- Collaborate with Product/UW and Sales to define a harmonized set of product features and benefits to enhance our competitive position.
- Define best-in-class customer experience and identify gaps along the customer journey
- Working with the Global Travel LoB, identify and define new and disruptive solutions (outside of core product enhancements) for the local market.
- Collaborate with APAC PM&I colleagues to on joint in common digital solutions.
- Manage the launch and deployment for new products and new channels with Sales & Distribution who are responsible for the Sales outcomes.

**Go-to
- Market Plans and Sales Enablement**
- Oversee development annual go-to-market plans for each product that meet the needs of Sales & Distribution growth ambitions.
- Develop and deliver compelling marketing assets and sales materials. Responsible for ROI and Sales outcomes from marketing plans (B2C excluded).
- Support sales to generate new leads with business partners and convert tenders and improving existing b-partner NPS.

**Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements and Allianz Partners global policies and functional rules, by implementing effective risk and compliance controls and reporting mechanisms and building a robust risk and compliance culture across your team.
- Work closely with the Content Administrator in the Sales & Distribution team to ensure the process for content management and monitoring is optimized and managed appropriately.

**People Leadership**
- Building and leading a high-performance team with clear accountability for delivering sustained results.
- Member of the Australian Travel Leadership team.
- Senior member and contributor to the APAC Regional Travel PM&I team.
- Build individual and team capability with customized development and learning plans.
- Implement talent management strategies for high employee engagement, succession planning and team retention.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or combination of relevant education and work experience. MBA and advanced certifications preferred.
- Responsible management experience, experience leading cross-functional teams with Agile methodology preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of multiple professional fields and the ability to integrate critical information from diverse areas.
- Ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives toward organizational goals.
- Leadership experience in ecommerce and insurance industry. Experience in travel industry preferred.
- Outstanding skills and proven success in the development, planning and execution of innovative marketing and branding strategies.
- Proven success in the development, communication and execution of strategic value propositions, and execution of that strategy in market.
- A team orientated, collaborative and relationship focused approach, with the ability to support senior leadership teams at a strategic level to deliver results.
- Comprehensive knowledge and exposure to the financial services industry and insurance sector with an understanding of the market complexities and competitiveness.
- Superior communication and influencing skills to engage and build strong relationships with stakeholders and leaders at senior levels.
- Highly developed negotiation and analytical skills, including the capacity to initiate creative and innovative thinking to support the organization to reach its objectives.
